The Truman Show Review

If you ask me true potential of Jim Carrey, I would really present you this movie, this movie is Jim Carrey's one man show, I mean it is focused only on him... It mainly capitalize on the thoughts of a child who used to think that every detail is for his, he is the main lead in the world, he dies the world dies.... Although everyone is main lead of his/her story, but the world keeps on going even when he dies.... This movie takes on that imagination of a 10 Year old kid and makes a movie on it, Truman is in a World, and he is center of it, he is main attraction of the world he is in, Although this movie doesn't compel you enough to question on your reality but it focuses on moralities deeply.. and it actually presents some analysis on Human nature...

Acting Performances were Brilliant, I mean Jim Carrey is really Jim Carrey but in a sensible way, but you see his trademarks at places, Jim nails every damn scene in such a way that you really cannot imagine any other actor playing that character other than him, A special Shout out to Ed Harris who really delivered a solid performance too, every other actor did good in his/her role...

Screenplay is tight and well handled, every scene was well calculated and well presented, pacing is well done in every portion of the movie... Screenplay was written in such a way that you get engaged instantly with the movie

Direction was good and all but I don't really come to accept the fact that Truman never tried to escape the reality before.. I mean if there were many breakthroughs into the set, how come that never hit Truman, that he may actually be a celebrity, but it is okay as other aspects were believable to some extent... Background Music was actually fun to listen 

Camera Work was at the end the most tricky and genius part of it, Camera is everywhere so you get many different angles to play with but according to me director did not have that much fun with the angles but this Camera Angles were really good 

I would rate it 9/10
